We are looking for a highly motivated Application Engineer for our sales team, based in Northern California. The candidate will work with key customers to support compliance and conformance testing.

Application Engineer - RF Systems

Your tasks:
  • Technical support for RF& RRM Conformance Test System including DvT testing and LBS / PQA support
  • Support and consulting of customer test plan implementation and development
  • Pre/Post-sales support, including customer demonstrations and customer trainings
  • Communicating with R&D Engineers for product enhancement and Account Managers for business development
  • Work independently with team members internally and externally and across global locations to achieve business objectives
  • Contribute to the creation of white papers, application notes
  • Provide technical feedback and new customer requirements/features to product managers
  • Maintain customer relationship and drive solutions, Track System status according to Test Case Lists and Purchases and License management for Conformance Systems
  • Coordination of Side Projects (SW tools) within RnS
  • Part of a Global R&D Team for Beta Testing and Regression / Validation Tasks, Coordination of West Coast Global AEs & Tracking of Validation Status within RnS and competitors
Your qualifications:
  • BSEE (or equivalent)
  • Experience working with test equipment including spectrum analyzers, signal generators, vector network analyzers and radio communication testers
  • Background in mobile communications technologies including 2G/3G/4G
  • Knowledge of communications protocols such as GSM, WCDMA and LTE is a must. (WiFi,GPRS and CDMA is a plus)
  • Enthusiastic, motivated, and persistent with strong communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills (problem Ownership)
  • Ability to travel up to 20-30% within the region and occasional international travel
  • Knowledge in Supplementary test plans as VzW/ ATT and Sprint
  • OTA testing knowledge is a plus
  • Preferred - Background in Test Specification based on 3PPP and Supplementary Test Plans (VzW / AT&T / Sprint etc.), Both non-signaling and signaling measurement technique knowledge and C /C++/ C# programming experience (object oriented language)
