Based in our Columbia, MD headquarters facility, the Sales Training Manager is a new position responsible for defining, creating, and implementing training programs for the Rohde & Schwarz field sales organization. Collecting requirements from Sales Managers and Product Managers, the successful candidate will draw upon extensive technical training and project management experience to build effective technical sales training solutions for our mobile, cloud-enabled sales engineers.

Sales Training Manager

Your tasks:
  • Organizes periodic, in-person, new-hire sales training events several times per year
  • Supports new product introductions with training programs tailored to Product Management's go-to-market plan
  • Coordinates sales training content development with input from Sales Management and Product Management
  • Ensures sales training content and in-person training events exceed Sales Management expectations
  • Books subject matter experts as trainers to fulfill requirements set forth by Sales Management
  • Identifies and utilizes modern training technologies (digital, cloud-based, e-learning, etc.) to maximize the effectiveness of our field sales force
  • Utilizes company systems and tools to organize and maintain a library of sales training content
  • Collaborates with Human Resources to most effectively utilize, promote, and continuously improve the company's learning management system
  • Responsible for managing and tracking sales training expenses against annual budget
Your qualifications:
  • 4-year technical degree, BSEE preferred
  • 3+ years experience in technical training and project management
  • 7+ years relevant professional experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity with effective technical sales training methods and techniques
  • Knowledge of technical sales and marketing processes
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Intense focus on the customer, both internal and external
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to deliver high quality results within project deadlines and demonstrated follow-through on action plans and projects
  • High initiative with ability to work both independently and collaboratively across the company
  • Ability to travel up to 20% nationally and internationally
